Currently, the new app is designed for learners to freely explore sentences in Explore first, and then review and practice them in Train.
Explore is for discovering and listening to sentences. There is no pressure to complete a specific number of repetitions.
Explore Mode is where you discover and get familiar with sentences before training them.
There is no need to complete every sentence you see. Watch the sentences that interest you, and skip the ones that don't.
Explore Mode learns from what you choose to watch and adapts toward the kinds of sentences you pay attention to.
Train is where you actively practice the sentences you have previously explored. You can use Shadowing or Dictation, and adjust the playback speed and the number of times each sentence is played.
This gives you more flexibility to decide how many new sentences you’d like to explore and how many sentences you’d like to train each day. We recommend you do hands-on Explore sometimes too, so you can give us an idea of the sentence difficulty and topics you want to hear.
The algorithm will then analyse the sentences you explore and train each day and use that information to provide content that’s better suited to your learning progress.
