[Migration] Moving to the new Glossika: what to expect

Do I need to do anything?
- No. Log in to the new app with the same email and password you use on Glossika Legacy. Everything else happens automatically.
What platforms is the new app available on?
- iOS and Android right now. We'll notify you when the web app launches.
What happens to my progress?
- Sentences you've practised on Glossika Legacy are brought over as your Recently Viewed and Saved sentences on the new app. Your total reps, time spent, and streak carry forward as well.
Why didn't my old training stats carry over?
- The new app follows the same general approach to scheduling review, but it's a separate system with its own calculations, so rather than transfer old scheduling that wouldn't map correctly onto the new system, task-specific stats and levels start fresh. Your overall reps, time, and streak are not affected by this and do carry forward.
How long does the transfer take?
- It runs in the background as soon as you log in. You can use Explore and your Account right away. Training and your Library will show a short "in progress" state until the transfer finishes for that language, then they'll unlock automatically. It varies; for some learners, it's just a couple of seconds, for others with more practised sentences it can take a few minutes.
If I keep using Glossika Legacy, does it keep bringing my practice over?
- No. The transfer brings over what you've practised up to the point you log in to the new app; it's a one-time move, not an ongoing sync. Anything you practice on Glossika Legacy after that stays on Glossika Legacy and won't carry over automatically. Once you've moved over, we'd recommend doing your practising on the new app going forward.

If your access carried over, you'll see it labelled on your account page as access from Glossika Legacy. Since this access originates from Glossika Legacy, billing changes and language switches for a single-language Plus plan are managed there rather than in the new app.

Can I keep using Glossika Legacy?
- Yes, for now, there's no set date for when that will change. If it does, we'll notify you well in advance.
I don't want my old history brought over. Can I start fresh instead?
- This isn't a self-service option right now. If you'd prefer a fresh start on the new app, contact support and we'll take care of it manually.
